Places to eat in Tiruvanamallai
There are many good eating places near ramanashramam for devotees who may not be staying at ramanashramam or may like to eat some other food besides the usual south Indian fare.
The following is a list of such cafes and restaurants. at walking distance from the ashram:

(serves good wholesome Indian food at reasonable cost)

(This Restaurant in Thiruvannamalai is an ideal place for a relaxed food and lesuire chat. A neat place with a good service and value for food and taste buds)
4.Auro Usha Restaurant
National Highway 66.Near Ramanasramam.
(Usha, the owner goes out of her way to make “what you want” Vegetarian, Jain, all kinds of food, including North Indian and Italian.)
5. Akash Inn restaurant
very near to ramanashramam.
(This restaurant is an apt place for food, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner near Ramanasramam. It is air-conditioned and serves tasty, healthy meals, North and South Indian cuisine including a special, healthy millet meals.)

(good European food.)
7. Tasty café

(Serves Italian food. The best family restaurant in Tiruvannamali, great food ,amazing relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast,lunch,dinner.Twice a week they serve pizza done with wood oven)
Ramanna Nagar. Chengam Road, Tiruvannamalai.
(Lovely little cafe run by a friendly family. It’s very small and basic but really good food and iced coffee is amazing! Verycheap as well.)
(Some restaurants like Tasty Cafe and German Bakery are closed during summer months as the foreign devotees running these eateries go out of India.)
There are many other well known restaurants of Tamil Nadu like A2B and Krishna Sweets but they are all near Anamaliyar Temple in the main city of Tiruvannamalai.
Besides the above given eateries. .
Simple south Indian lunch can be had at the place where Sadhu Om lived and now his Samadhi is there. It is straight down the post office road. A local lady does this daily service and charges rs.70 for it.
Also .free meals can be had at Yogi Ramsurat ashram. only lunch.
At Shiv Sannidhi..all three meals.
For devotees who may have small kitchenette facilities or want to have a very simple fare at certain times….
There are two supermarkets near ramanashramam. 1.ramanna supermarket
(Opp. to Ramanashramam.)
- Nilgiris which is a five minute walk on the right side of ramanashramam. They have milk, yoghurt, cheese,fresh fruits,ready to heat meals, different breads,and various other food items.
